Specialist Engineering Business:
Enabled the development of a Lean Thinking culture in a specialist engineering business, to reduce manufacturing lead-time by 71%. Re-organised the management of the operation for staff to own value streams and apply principles of flow and pull. Developed a Future State business with a continuous improvement culture, working towards Agile applications.
Manufacturing Business:
Enabled a 42% increase in output for a manufacturing business, with no extra labour cost, through applying Lean Thinking, and using flow and continuous improvement principles. The specific Lean tools applied were; One Piece Flow, Takt Time, Line Balancing and Standard Operating Procedures.
Public Sector Organisation:
Increased capacity by 30% and reduced average patient lead-time by 29% as part of the 18 week patient pathway programme, from referral to start treatment, within the NHS. Applied the principle of seeing the whole value stream and understanding what the patient feels is value added, in an information rich environment.
Communications Business:
As part of a Lean Implementation Program in a communications business, reduced the work content in the information management processes by 62%; releasing staff to improve business systems and increase sales. Enabled the company to see how initially it managed work, and restructure its operation to apply the principle of managing the value stream.
Engineering Business:
Created a Future State for an engineering business that enabled 58% of the current workforce to be released to focus on business growth and operational improvements. Applied the rigorous Six Sigma methodology to manage the programme and chase out waste, and connected people's roles, and day to day improvements with a focused business stategy.
